The Eastern Southern Rockhopper Penguin, a subspecies of the Southern Rockhopper, is a small, crested penguin known for its distinctive physical characteristics. It typically measures between 45-55 cm in length and weighs around 2.2-4.3 kg. This penguin is easily recognized by its black back and throat, white belly, and the striking yellow crest feathers that extend from its forehead over the red eyes, splitting at the back of the head.
